Client Education/Familiarization Process:

It is essential that we understand our client’s business in order to be successful in representing them in the marketplace.  We educate ourselves about the details of our client’s organization and executive leadership by viewing informational resources such as annual reports, websites, press releases and trade/news articles. We identify and learn about the companies in the market that are considered to be their direct competitors.

Position Familiarization:

We engage in thorough discussions with key company executives to ensure our complete understanding of the job responsibilities and essential candidate qualifications.  We evaluate and discuss issues regarding compensation, years of experience, job location/geography, etc., to make certain that the client is competitive in their industry and that their hiring objectives are realistic.

Target Companies:

We can establish a target list of companies where prospective candidates are currently working.  The list, which always includes the obvious industry competitors, or follows specific parameters regarding company size, revenue, geography, etc., might also include other businesses that provide services to our client’s industry and therefore have a working knowledge of operations, processes, etc. We also explore the “out-of-the-box” list of target companies where talented candidates are hidden and off of the obvious radar screen.

Candidate Identification:

Once the target list has been finalized our team of Researchers will make multiple information gathering calls identifying names, titles, reporting structure, direct dial numbers (if requested), email addresses (if requested), profiles/bios (if requested) and document all company/market information gleaned from the phone conversations.  A current landscape of the specific group or department identified within the target companies is portrayed.

Candidate Development:

Our Candidate Development team creates the “recruiting pitch” which highlights job and client information.  They begin an aggressive cold-calling campaign to all of the appropriate names identified during the Candidate Identification phase.  If an individual expresses interest in the opportunity, they then conduct a more in-depth conversation offering more job and client specifics and extract information regarding the candidate’s experience, salary, education, etc. Resumes of qualified candidates are sent to us at this time to supplement further screening measures.  This pre-qualification process establishes both a short and a long list of candidates to present to our client.  If the individuals contacted show no interest in pursing the job opportunity, they are sourced for referrals to other possible candidates that meet the job requirements.  We create spreadsheets reflecting all of the calling activity on the search and send it to the client for daily review.
